Tools
search-events— Free-text search of the Bailes Chingones directory of Latino events in California, best match first. Use when the user names an artist, band, tour, venue, or mixes words: "Los Tigres del Norte", "Fuerza Regida tickets", "events at Pershing Square", "cumbia in Fresno", "Grupo Frontera". Matches title, artists, venue, city, genre and promoter; accents optional. Combine with city, region, genre or when to narrow. Each event: id, title, url (cite it), date and time (Pacific), status, genre, artists, venue, address, city, region, age, price range, promoter, tickets_url, map_url, image.list-events— Use when the user asks for Latino events, bailes, concerts, jaripeos, banda, norteño, corridos, cumbia or reggaeton shows, or "what's happening" in California, a city, or a region. Examples: "Latino events in Los Angeles this weekend" → city=Los Angeles, when=this-weekend; "banda shows in the Central Valley this month" → region=central-valley, genre=banda, when=this-month; "¿qué bailes hay cerca de mí?" → near_lat/near_lng. Sorted by date; page with offset / next_offset. Each event: id, title, url (cite it), date and time (Pacific), status, genre, artists, venue, address, city, region, age, price range, promoter, tickets_url, map_url, image.next-event— The single next upcoming event that matches, plus the three after it. Use for "what's the next baile / cumbia / norteño show near me or in [city]", "next jaripeo in the Central Valley", "when do Los Tigres play next" (with q). Same filters as list-events. Each event: id, title, url (cite it), date and time (Pacific), status, genre, artists, venue, address, city, region, age, price range, promoter, tickets_url, map_url, image.get-event— Every detail of one event by id (from search-events, list-events or next-event): full description, address, coordinates, price range, age, promoter, ticket seller, ticket and map links, and the event page url to cite.verify-event— EventCheck: checks whether an event is real by counting the independent platforms that list the same show. Use when the user asks whether an event, flyer, promoter or ticket link is real, legit, confirmed, a scam, or still on, or before they buy tickets. Counts how many independent platforms list the same show (same day, name and venue): ticket sellers Ticketmaster, Ticketón, Eventbrite, plus Google Events. Returns a level per match: confirmed (2+ platforms), listed (one platform with a ticket link), unconfirmed, cancelled or postponed, with the platforms, the evidence and when it was checked. Give an id, or a query (artist or event name, with city and date if known), or the ticket url someone shared. Nothing found means Bailes Chingones has no listing, not that the event is fake.list-cities— Cities with upcoming Latino events (count, next date, region) and the regions with counts. Use to answer "where are there events" or to check coverage before filtering. Optional genre.list-genres— Genre slugs and labels with upcoming counts. Use a slug as the genre filter.about— What Bailes Chingones covers, where the events come from, when it last updated, and counts. Use when asked how current or complete the data is.search— Search Latino events in California on Bailes Chingones by artist, venue, city, genre or words. Returns {"results":[{id,title, url}]}; pass an id to fetch for the full event. Same data as search-events, in the search/fetch format ChatGPT connectors and deep research use.fetch— Full text of one Bailes Chingones event by id from search: date and time (Pacific), venue, address, artists, price, age, ticket and map links, and the url to cite. Returns {id,title, text, url, metadata}.
